Raven Inverted Oil

Dscf0001.jpg (104024 bytes) Well here it is. The big purchase I thought I would never get to. Lycoming IO 360B1b with a Hartzell CS prop.

Dscf0002.jpg (109832 bytes) Shot of the Raven inverted oil system. Nice system to work with. Remember to order the special fitting for the sump so that the oil line will miss the engine mount.

Dscf0003.jpg (105146 bytes) Another shot of the Raven system. All stainless hose and fittings were ordered from Summit Racing at a very substantial savings. In looking at just the inverted system needs, Christen sells a deluxe hose and fittings kit for a little over 1100.00. I took those part numbers and purchased the exact same items from summit for a little over 300.00. I'll put the balance in the panel. ;-)

Dscf0004.jpg (58475 bytes) Fuel flow turbine from Dynon

Dscf0005.jpg (112686 bytes) Firewall mounted oil cooler. Next I will need to make the plenum for the air from the baffles

Dscf0006.jpg (79394 bytes) Another shot from the other side

Dscf0015.jpg (85676 bytes) Kind'a like the one above.

Dscf0016.jpg (96303 bytes) And the right side

Dscf0017.jpg (95389 bytes) Pressure sensors mounted on the firewall and plumbed to their respective ports

Dscf0018.jpg (108457 bytes) All that plumbing. All done in stainless.

Dscf0019.jpg (92809 bytes) Bottom side.

Dscf0020.jpg (85630 bytes) Entire engine harness with the exception of themain battery wire, the main alt wire, EGT and CHT goes into one AMP plug. If the engine needs to come off, one plug is all it takes to undo the wiring. Hopefully I won't need it!

Dscf0021.jpg (92097 bytes) Another shot of the oil cooler
